I wanted to pop in and share some big news. We’ve sold our sweet little house and have moved.
Call me sentimental, but I will always have a special place in my heart for mine and Eric’s first home. This was the first house we lived in. I poured so much love and sweat and elbow grease into this old house. We brought Luca home from the hospital to this house. I have grown so fond of this space over the past four years.
Today, Eric, Luca and I went to have one final look at the old place. We snapped this selfie. I cried a bit. It was empty and I felt sad to be walking away.
Although I love this old house, Eric and I decided that we didn’t want to take on many of the major renovations this place required. I don’t think our marriage would survive a major kitchen, basement and bathroom renovations. Having Luca has changed our priorities and how we want to spend our spare time.
As we get ready to hand the keys off to the new owners, I thought it would be fun to look back and see how much our house changed in four years. Although we never finished the house off and brought out its full potential, we certainly made a few good dents.

Looking back is bittersweet. I am so proud of how our house turned out. What a difference from when we took possession 4.5 years ago. Although I will miss our first house, we have found a lovely new home. It is close to family and friends and it requires fewer renovations. It is a beautiful old house, that oozes charm and character. I am so excited to put my own stamp on it and make it our home.
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing my house’s journey over the past four years. Although leaving this place behind has been hard, I am so excited to start a new chapter of our lives in our new home.
